Research Interests:
• Translational regulation mechanisms
• Ribosome homeostasis (biogenesis and degradation)
• RNP structure
We care about Ribosome birth, we care about Ribosome sickness, we care about Ribosome death.
Cellular translational regulation involves various mechanisms to control protein synthesis, ensuring the quality and functionality of proteins. Our research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of translational regulation within cells, employing advanced techniques such as cryo-electron microscopy, biochemistry, and cell biology. We explore how cells control protein synthesis through
quality control, translation inhibition, ribosome hibernation, and ribosome homeostasis, including assembly and degradation,
to ensure cellular function and response to stress conditions.
